I wanted to preserve it for archival purposes, not any other reason in particular. It's in archive.org.I simply think that it would be difficult for someone to find it if they weren't looking through an archive like this one specifically dedicated to flash files, rather than a generic catch-all Internet archive. |

I've added the flash to the archive:http://swfchan.com/39/194026/?Magi+Karinka+v6.0.s wf Seems like a lot of work for some still images (I assume, never actually got anything after playing through a level) but I like the music. Let me know if anything else over 60 MiB is found that is worth archiving! I figure self-contained flash files that are so large must be pretty rare but if they turn out more common than I think I'll increase the max upload size on the boards. The datuid.swf flash (that I renamed to "Magi Karinka v6.0.swf" because I dislike filenames seemingly without meaning that can't be searched easily) was exported just two days ago, judging from its metadata. Kinda makes me suspect that OP made the game, since the thread is just one day old. |

I actually found it on the 2chan flash board, http://cgi.2chan.net/i/res/50695.htmIt looks like someone was developing for a while and posted a different link, http://karinka.sakura.ne.jp/karinka/magikarinka.h tm, to a devlog of some sorts. I can't really read Japanese but that specific one says something about R-18, which leads me to believe this game is a porn game that is too unwieldy or difficult to see that aspect. It might just be coincidence that they uploaded a day ago or the date formatting might be different, from seeing the posts from those old 2ch flashes it's formatted year first. |

Tested it a bit more and after a while I managed to get a piece of clothing to go away so it's a R-18 game, just slow as molasses.The date in the metadata is "2016/05/27", since there's no 27:th month it can only mean 27may2016. I also notice now on http://karinka.sakura.ne.jp/karinka/magikarinka.h tm it says "2016 5/27 キャラクター4人追加。", which means something like "added four characters on May 27:th 2016". Looks like it's still being updated, though the update before that was in 2014 so maybe this was the last one. |
